Fake Universities in India, Few Negative Bloggers play with the Reputation

Hi All,

I shall be thankful to you all for encouraging the Bloggers to write the truth about few Psycho Bloggers who write anything about reputed Brands and Try to harm their brand image for some bedeviled intention.

Such Bloggers have the tendency to write anything they think anything they want which simply causes nothing but Reputation compromise for Good brands. Thank god the brands have kinda good image that they do not have dependency on internet but their trust and quality itself encourages the users to acquire such brands even after such negative blogs. We recently noticed such issues faced by Amity University, Symbiosis University, IIMT STUDIES, Delhi University and IIMs too. Distance education has been one of those category which is cieticised  by many fools who do not have enough knowledge either about the brand  or the Distance Education Concept.

Recent studies on books, companies and five star hotels show that most reviews and negative reviews are a complex scheme of white collar fraud.  One study by Michael call this fraud “fake it till you make it”(Michael, 2015). Reviewers are paid by competitors to give negative comments to discredit an institution or company. In addition, they are also paid to make positive comments about the competitors.

The rapid increase in internet connectivity has been an important catalyst for the growth of e-learning. The story is not limited to schools alone. IIMT, A fake institute? Read on Simply Career? Read Again Here...

IIMT Studies reveals the truth behind the fake educational institute and degrees and how learners can avoid such institutions?
Education is one of the main goals of the millennium development goals. These goals have been replaced with UN sustainable development goals of which quality education is number 4.
In line with this many universities, e-learning and distance education centers offering online and traditional classroom learning have sprung up. It is imperative for students to select a good institution that offers high quality education. Students must realize that education is not about getting a paper to get promotion but should be a way of enhancing their education, competence and experience.
War among Education Institutions
Colleges and Universities, e-Learning and distance education training are supposed to be hallmarks of educational excellence and skill development. However due to competitive pressure from other rival institutions, some of them do not follow the education standards and consider students as customers instead of trainees. This devaluates the quality of education in terms of lowing skill training, removing knowledgeable and technical materials from their syllabus and not covering the syllabus effectively etc. The downside of this is that student never discovers their weaknesses, fail to learn from their mistakes, never face consequences of their action and most of all, and never acquire critical practical skills that are required in the industry.
The concept of universities fighting for number of students by lowering the education level is controversial and retrogressive as this subsequently affects education quality. By running campuses as profit making business, students never get any skills.
Negative Reviews and Fake Degrees
The internet and social media have developed a platform where people comments on services offered by study centers or university.
Education institutions have been caught in this net. Many universities and individuals are battling it out in terms of winning students both locally and international through negative publicity, fraudulent reviews and aggressive marketing strategies which aren’t true.
Other learning institutions are offering completely fake degrees with no learning at all. Other imitates the name of credible institutions with few changes to lure online students searching for a credible instruction.
Distance Education and E-Learning
The internet is full of myriad of institution offering online degrees and diplomas. While these campuses portray as cost effective, easy and comfy education; they never talk about accreditation, legitimacy of their institution, lecturers qualifications, accolades that institution and members of staff have, entry requirements and how the program will be conducted to ensure that the student passes.
How IIMT Studies is Unique and Different in catering Quality E-Learning Education?
IIMT is a credible, accredited and high ranking e- learning institution with accolades and partners nationally and internationally.  The courses and diplomas are internally and externally effective. These IIMT courses and diplomas enable learner to achieve their personal objective such as enabling them gain practical skills and competencies, get promotions and also advance their careers. As externally it is effective to enable students to become useful to the society and nation as a whole.
IIMT provides efficient distance learning. Efficiency in education is measured through inputs such as quality up to date reading materials, highly qualified faculties and supportive staff members, efficient use of students time, good communication methods, student centered learning, effective learning disciplines, good tutors behavior and inclusive environments.
IIMT has largely excelled in providing education to the students along with the much needed life skill training. These include peace, living in harmony, reacting to work related stress, saving our environment from pollution, health and hygiene, citizenship, looking for jobs, etiquettes and good social behavior.

The HR Profession

The HR Profession

HR profession had a distinct reputation in the recent past. It was more looked at as a transactional function than “value adding”.  However, due to its continuous evolvement over a period of time, it has come up to a state where it should be playing its actual role.
This transition happened more due to  change in environment, IT boom and various Sun Rise industries boom where hiring and firing had become a “new normal” norm.  Many new ways were identified to address this challenge and HR professionals pioneered some of the solutions be it “outsourcing”, “third party hire’, “contractual hire” so on and so forth.  The New Normal norm piggy backed on various new type of challenges which business professional did not equate well with as they neither had a competence nor the time to address them. There comes a role of HR – a covet HR function.
The time changed and there was a need to have “strategic HR” which would not only spearhead addressing these challenges but also find newer ways to help business people to perform their function more effectively.  Talent dynamics, capability gaps and many more emotional side of problems were required to be addressed – all this helped in giving different perspective to HR professionals.  They are now more business savvy as they have realized that if they are not aligned with business needs – no one would want them solely for emotional needs.  Also, alignment between business and people is need of the hour.  In order to make situations more relevant to current times, a constant review mechanism of “capability mapping” is required and that is best managed by HR.
There are a few mandates any “effective” HR professional must focus at:
  1. Understand the “Core Purpose” of the business they are in through various ways
  2. Understand the “capability desire” of the business
  3. Identify the gaps
  4. Bridge the gaps
  5. Ensure “talent pipeline” is healthy all the time
  6. Developing, motivating and retaining talent
  7. Moreover, creating value in the “talent chain”
  8. Custodian of the organization culture
Talent Strategy can be shaped once the business strategy is well understood.  Business strategy not just includes the business model but also identifying the “value” which any brand wants to create over a period of time. Understanding that “value” is the core for any HR Strategy which only seasoned and professional HR can understand.  It is not so easy and simple, it requires much of perseverance, attitude and aptitude. Before we get onto the results on understanding “how great the brand has become” it is more important to understand “how the brand has become great”.

A Decade of HR journey in Dubai

A Decade of HR journey in Dubai

The face of Human resources in dubai has changed a lot in past ten years. The country has moved further and developed a lot in terms of human rights and compliances in line with the ILO. The introduction of wage protection system and mandatory medical insurance by ministry of labor, intervention of dubai municipality, ministry of labor and civil defence for ensuring the quality of employee accommodations and facilities regarding health and safety is a major evidence of development and commitment towards the care of human capital. The other developments of major infrastructure like dubai metro, hospitals, great health care facilities has also increased the options and ease the day to day life.
Dubai being an expat oriented workforce county needs human resources managers and company to be extra caretaker and a step ahead in terms of employee care, motivation, health , hygiene and safety.
More than routine tools of human resources in this part of world need to take a parental approach. As majority of employees have their families in their respective countries, the responsibilities of the well being of employee rests on the shoulder of the human resources departments. We at trinity take care of such aspects well in in turn we receive great employee engagement, trust and loyalty.
Factors like periodic Pay rises, appraisals and financial areas becomes secondary when an employee is taken care about the basic well being, emergency family needs and critical times. The culture for the company is something that attracts and retains the employee to the company.
We ensure some of small but really great practices which helps the trust to be intact. Practices like :-
— Visiting a employee if admitted to hospital.
— Helping to reach employee to their loved ones in case of some critical issues in their hometown
— Collection of funds from the employees and equal contribution from the management in case of serious illness causing Permanent disability or demise of an employee.
— Providing loans and advances for performing major events of life like weddings, children’s higher education etc.
— Apart from this, good gestures like celebrating birthdays, wishing important dates, rewards for good work, recognizing for efforts etc goes on simultaneously.
A major and important factor which really helps a lot in building trust is availability of the hr personnel to listen the problems. We at trinity walk to the shop floors , camps and the respective sites at regular interval in order to listen their issues related to work, day to day issues related to Health and safety and resolve at the earliest. This creates less foot falls in hr department, reduces grievances, and increases satisfaction. The deprive of the availability of the human resource time creates feeling of mistrust, panic amongst the employees.
In short, the trust we show is that trust and many more things we get in return from the employees. It is very true and evident as Richard Branson says ” you take care of your employees and they will take care of your customers”
A well satisfied employee is always a great asset to the company.

A woman doesn’t need to be a man to succeed at work

There are leadership differences between men and women, which make for gender diversity in the workplace.

A woman doesn’t need to be a man to succeed at work
Women comprise more than half the workforce. Yet, less than 20 percent of C-suite executives are women and only five percent of CEOs are women. A study by DDI identifies three personality differences between the two sexes — inquisitiveness, sensitivity and impulsiveness.
Does this mean, a woman should act more like a man at work to be more successful? “The quick answer is no—except when it comes to confidence,” says Tacy M. Byham, CEO, DDI.
“Women need to do a better job of declaring themselves and becoming their own advocates—speaking and acting confidently and mentally promoting themselves to a future-focussed role. With this mindset, their own behaviours change. This strengthens a woman’s impact and improves her ability to get that seat at the table,” she adds.
The study by DDI reveals that women are less confident and less likely to rate themselves as highly effective leaders as compared to men. On the contrary, men highly self-rate their own leadership skills and their ability to tackle management and business challenges.
As per the study, only 30 percent of women rate themselves amongst the top 10 per cent of leaders, in comparison to 37 per cent of men. At the senior level, 63 per cent of men rate themselves as highly-effective leaders compared to only 49 per cent of women.
Women were less likely to have completed international assignments, or played leadership roles across countries or geographically dispersed teams, all of which make up important development opportunities. Leaders who had access to global and more visible experiences are more likely to advance.
Normally, we tend to focus too much on differences, which are actually few and far between. The fact is that there is no disparity in competence levels between the two genders. Building high-performance cultures; engaging employees; cultivating a customer-focussed culture; creating alignment and accountability; enhancing organisational talent; building strategic partnerships and relationships, driving process innovation and driving efficiency, are all activities effectively handled by both men and women.
The research shows that men are 16 per cent more inquisitive than women, possibly due to their tendency to gravitate towards STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers that reinforce inquiry.
Women are interpersonally more sensitive than men (13 percent more), which can be an advantage in cultures where leaders are valued for demeanor and interactions with others. Men are also more impulsive than women (11 per cent more), which could result from the reinforced ‘just do it’ attitude, where women are nurtured with the outlook ‘don’t do it unless you can do it right’.
The study reveals that the lowest number of women in leadership roles—15 to 30 per cent— are in the consumer products, transportation services, computer software, technology, chemicals, energy and utilities, construction, industrial manufacturing, automotive and transport industries.
And industries such as health care, education and retail industries, where women leaders are in large numbers (43-47 per cent) have more female-dominated workforces.
Industries with a moderate representation of women leaders include: food, banking and telecommunication services. The number of women employed and leading in an industry influences the opportunities for women, to advance and develop, and has implications for the future too. Industries with shortages of women in leadership suffer due to fewer role models and mentors to provide encouragement and guidance, to encourage younger generations into leadership roles.

Wipro has been on the list consistently since 2012. Tata Steel has also won for the fifth time but not in a row, as it was not part of the list in 2014.

Wipro has been on the list consistently since 2012. Tata Steel has also won for the fifth time but not in a row, as it was not part of the list in 2014.
Tata Steel, Tata Power & Wipro continue to be high on ethics
Three Indian companies — Tata Steel, Tata Power and Wipro — have made it to the list of the world’s top ethical companies, once again. These three companies share the space with 131 other organisations including PepsiCo, Ford and LinkedIn from across 21 countries.
Wipro has been on the list consistently since 2012. Tata Steel has also won for the fifth time but not in a row, as it was not part of the list in 2014.
The list of the world’s most ethical companies was first instituted in 2007 and two Indian corporates — Hindustan Unilever and Tata Steel had found themselves on it.
During 2008–10, no Indian corporate could make it to this list. However, in 2012, HDFC was featured as the only Indian company in the list.
Out of the 131 countries selected this year, surprisingly 99 are from the US. However, it doesn’t imply that the world’s most ethical companies are based out of the US.

There are also four companies from the UK, three entries from France, India and Japan and two entries from Australia, Ireland and Switzerland. There were just single entries from the rest of the participant countries.
Since Ethisphere’s launch in 2007, the world has undergone dramatic expansion in terms of political and regulatory complexity. There has been a perceived and real ‘shrinking’ across markets. Companies and their executives are taking the leadership role around standards of behaviour. Issues, such as corporate citizenship, transparency, diversity, governance, and measurable values-based-leadership have come to form the foundation of the sustainable enterprise.
Companies will be increasingly rewarded financially for their efforts to attract and retain the best employees, and to operate with integrity and clarity of purpose. Ethisphere will continue to focus on creating the standards that correlate business integrity with performance.
After winning this accolade, Indra Nooyi, Chairman and CEO, PepsiCo says, “PepsiCo’s longstanding commitment to transparency, engagement and the highest ethical conduct has always propelled our business forward. These qualities are embodied by Performance with Purpose—our belief that profitable companies of the 21st century will be those that align the needs of their business with the needs of the world around them.”
“This honour reflects the hard work of men and women across PepsiCo whose integrity enables our success, and I want to thank Ethisphere once again, for recognising their achievements,” she adds.

Ethisphere recognises companies that not only promote ethical business standards and practices internally, but also exceed legal compliance minimums and shape future industry standards by introducing best practices. It rates the companies on the basis of their EQ (Ethical Quotient).
For the uninitiated, the EQ score is derived through a proprietary matrix of relationships between answers to given questions and a set of complex formulas based on demographic qualifiers.
The framework of EQ comprises a series of multiple-choice questions that capture a company’s performance in an objective, consistent and standardised manner. The information collected is not intended to cover all aspects of corporate governance, risk, sustainability, social responsibility, compliance or ethics. Rather, it is a comprehensive sampling of definitive criteria of core competencies.
The EQ framework and methodology has been determined, vetted and refined by expert advice and insights gleaned from Ethisphere’s network of thought leaders and from the World’s Most Ethical Companies Methodology Advisory Panel.
The EQ framework consists of five core categories, of which the weightage for the ethics and compliance programme is 35 per cent, while CSR, culture of ethics, governance and leadership, and innovation and reputation have 20 per cent, 20 per cent, 15 per cent and 10 per cent weightage, respectively.
The body reviews documentation submitted by the participant companies, conducts additional research and requests extra information and documentation from the companies.
They also perform reputational and legal reviews to determine any outstanding or historical issues.
External data sources, such as SEC filings, the RepRisk Index, Glassdoor, and global news outlets, among other sources are also consulted.
Compliance or ethics issues will be reflected in a company’s leadership, innovation and reputation scores. Seriously deficient scores in these categories will prevent a company from being selected as a 2016 World’s Most Ethical Company.
EQ scores are often adjusted on the basis of the documentation review and independent research. Each candidate then receives a ‘validated’ score that may be higher or lower than the initial ‘self-reported’ score. If verification of certain aspects of self-reported performance does not take place, the resulting scores may be discounted.
